FE- thanks- yes, the jury found against them first time but there is $500m or so at stake and the case was v complex so it seemed likely that they would appeal. They also have the Microsoft case trying to claim against the v same patent coming up this autumn and that prolonged procedure here could encourage them to settle out of court. In the meantime Apple have asked for $500k or so for their legals and so these costs need to be taken into account, but the legals must feel the risk/reward ratio makes it worth going on here.
Update on ASOS, parties will be interested to learn save for the speculation of a takeover ASOS hit my target price of 2250 and went sub! One wonders post any "no" news on a takeover where it will head again. With results due soon, surely any majority shareholder would want the price/deal tabled before then! Atb Fraser
